Rudnick visited many of the polling places in the southern part of the 8th district while supporters at polling places in the district continued to gather signatures to ensure his placement on the November ballot. For much of the time, Rudnick, who is an elated Nutter supporter, acted as chauffeur for another mayoral candidate- the 22 year old Larry West whose first hurdle is getting City Council to lower the 25 years of age requirement for being Mayor (which also applies to City Council members). "Young men and women are old enough to sacrifice their lives for this country- which they are doing every day for the outrageously immoral and costly war in Iraq yet we won't let them run for public office? The Green Party is against disenfranchisement of anyone. And if anyone wants to say Larry's too young to run at 22, what's to stop anyone from saying that 8th District Councilwoman Donna Reed Miller, at 60 is too old! I hope the Councilwoman supports Larry's efforts to get the Charter changed."
