Rudnick Challenges 8th District Candidates to Scrabble

Because the Mount Airy and Chestnut Hill community associations have yet to announce forums for 8th District Council candidates and the November election is only a handful of weeks away, I have taken the initiative.

Not to be outdone by mayoral candidates Nutter and Taubenberger who were facing off in a scrabble match as part of "Philadelphia Plays Scrabble", I have challenged Councilwoman Miller and the other contenders to scrabble outside Center in the Park on Saturday October 13.

Double points will be awarded for using any street or place name in the 8th district and candidates will have 1 minute to expound upon on any word they place on the board.

Rudnick Pounds Away for Gun Ban at NW Epic Forum, Miller a No Show

Last evening, September 25, I had the opportunity to address the community at a candidate forum at the Germantown Community Presbyterian Church. I drew a lucky number, "1" so got to first and spent half my alloted time pounding away for a gun ban and confiscation program in Philly. We can start by changing zoning to exclude gun stores as a permissible  business enterprise in Philadelphia. Today I received sad news about Green Party member and Philly consumer advocate Lance Haver's son, Daren, who was shot and paralyzed by a gunshot a few days ago. Lance asks that we share his email with anyone we think should know. I think EVERYONE should know so I'm posting it here..

Green Party of PA Lends Financial Support to Campaign

The Green Party of Pennsylvania is lending financial support to my campaign, it was announced today. If people value Green Party values, they will contribute to our party organizations which in turn can support Green candidates. Individual contributions are problematic because the elected official is put in a position of "owing" the contributor as we have seen in the pay-to-play culture of Philadelphia.
