We met hundreds of people of the thousands that showed up for the 4 block long festival, sold t-shirts and buttons, gave out literature and green bead bracelets, signed up many to get info about the Green Party and generally enjoyed the sunny, festive day even as we were addressing issues like global warming, the Iraq war and our Philadelphia races. After Councilman Frank DiCicco addressed a gathering at 10th and South, I in turn welcomed all to the Green Fest and wished that everyone enjoy the party and told them to come on over to our table to learn more about a party with prinicples, a party that likes to party, the Green Party.
